Bee pollen is the pollen ball that has been packed by worker honeybees into pellets. Bee bread is also the bee pollen with added honey and bee secretions and stored in brood cells, chambers of honeybees or of wood and mud created by female ground-nesting bees.
Bee pollen is a mixture of flower pollen, nectar, enzymes, honey, wax and bee secretions.
Foraging honey bees collect pollen from plants and transport it to the beehive, where it’s stored and used as food for the colony.
Attention! Make sure you keep your bee pollen in a fridge and consume it over the year.
Warning! If you are pregnant/nursing or diabetes make sure to consult with your physician before consuming bee pollen!
